Bruce L. Van Cleave, MD, has been named chief executive
officer and president of Carondelet Health.
A certified family practice physician, Dr. Van Cleave
has an impressive record spanning more than 20 years as a physician
and health care administrator. He received his medical degree from
the Medical College of Wisconsin, and holds bachelor’s and
master’s degrees from the University of Wisconsin.
Dr. Van Cleave comes to Kansas City from Novi, MI, where
he has served as executive vice president, Clinical and Physician
Services for Trinity Health since 2000. Trinity Health is the third
largest Catholic health system in the country.
“I’m excited about the challenges and opportunities
this position presents and am anxious to bring my experience to
an evolving system like Carondelet Health,” says Dr. Van Cleave,
“My wife, Mary, and I are looking forward to making Kansas
City our new home.”

Dr. Van Cleave’s first official day on the job
is August 25.
