The 23rd Annual St. Mary’s Golf Classic is a
Success!
The 23rd annual St. Mary’s Hospital Golf Classic,
hosted by the St. Mary’s Hospital Auxiliary, raised more than
$72,000 to benefit the Emergency Room Expansion project. More than
75 volunteers and 180 golfers took part in this fun-filled event
held on June 16 at Lakewood Oaks Golf Club.

Major underwriters for the event included ARAMARK, Haldex,
Lytle Construction, INTRUST Bank, JE Dunn Construction Company,
MC Lioness Realty, Physicians Reference Laboratory, LLC and the
Medical/Dental Staff of St. Mary’s Hospital. A special thank
you goes to the co-chairs, Mary Pat Burson and Judy Ecton, as well
as all the volunteers, auxilians, staff and sponsors who made this
event a success.
Light from Evening Under the Stars Still Shines
People are still talking about the Evening Under the
Stars—with good reason. The annual gala, held last spring at
the Marriott-Adams Pointe Conference Center in Blue Springs, is
in a league of its own.

Thanks to the leadership of co-chairs Nancy Scheerer
and Emagrace Colley, two records were set–with an attendance
of 450, the event raised more than $112,000 for the hospital. Guests
enjoyed dinner and dancing to the music of Private Stock and bid
on live auction items, including a lease for a Mercedes-Benz SLK
convertible and naming rights to St. Mary’s Drive.
