It always helps to have friends. The Friends of Saint
Joseph Health Center, formerly the Advisory Council, is recruiting
members.
"Our group works to promote a better understanding of Saint
Joseph Health Center and its service to the Greater Kansas City
community," says Jerry Fladung, president of Friends of Saint
Joseph Health Center. "We sort of work as good will ambassadors
in the community."
The group was founded more almost 25 years ago and Fladung has been
active for the past 15 years. "We have a wide range of people
in our membership," he says. "That's one of the things
I really enjoy-getting to meet a lot of really great people."
Members are kept up to-date with significant events and issues at
the health center, and get to take advantage of mini health clinics
sponsored by the Friends. There are three quarterly meetings and
an annual dinner.
"We're actively recruiting right now," says Mr. Fladung.
"This group offers a chance to meet people, have some fun and
to something worthwhile for the health center and the community."
