Sometimes a pairing makes something good even better.
Think of cookies and milk, peanut butter and jelly, or Fred and
Ginger. Such is the case in the pairing of the Grand Court I in
south Kansas City and Carondelet Care Resources.
The Grand Court I is a retirement center. Residents
have their own apartments and take meals in a common dining room.
"We are very respectful of our residents' privacy," says
Jason Lancaster, marketing/leasing director for the Grand Court.
"Here, they can have their own homes but have people around
to socialize with and activities scheduled that they can take part
in if they choose to.
"Having private duty services available is really a benefit
for our residents, " says Lancaster. "It allows them the
independence to stay here, in their own homes longer-rather than
having to move to an assisted living facility."
The Private Duty Care can be tailored to the needs of residents,
whether it be for a few weeks or long-term. Services include personal
care options (such as help with dressing or bathing), medication
management or escorting residents to and from meals.
Earl Dorzab is very happy with his arrangement with Carondelet Care
Resources. He likes the consistency. He has the same caregivers
every day has developed a great relationship with them. "She's
a very bossy woman," Dorzab teases Judith Head, Home Health
Aide. "Seriously, she's very encouraging. She's good at making
me do something I need to do, like get up and walk."
"The staff is on-site and very professional, consistent and
caring," says Lancaster. "They are here everyday and know
the residents-not just their patients, but all the residents."
"Carondelet Care Resources is a great fit with us," says
Lancaster. "This type of relationship is hard to get and when
it works-magic happens."
