Saint Joseph Health Center and St. Mary's Hospital of Blue Springs will soon be providing services to Humana Medicare Advantage PPO members. Humana is seeking approval from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) for its Medicare Advantage PPO plan to offer to seniors in the greater Kansas City area. Pending CMS approval, the new product offering will become available for enrollment by Medicare beneficiaries in the fourth quarter of 2004 and will be available in Johnson County, Kansas and in four counties in Missouri including: Cass, Clay, Jackson and Platte.

Humana's Medicare Advantage PPO plan members will have access to all inpatient and outpatient services at these Kansas City area Carondelet Health hospitals. Humana provides health coverage to more than 86,000 health plan members in Missouri and Kansas through its commercial and Medicare health plans.
