Nurses, school administrators, athletic directors and
parents of students with asthma are invited to attend this session
on Wednesday, April 14, 2004, 4 - 7:30 p.m. in the Community Center
for Health and Education at Saint Joseph Health Center.
Areas of Interest:
- Do you know how to recognize when a child with asthma is in
trouble?
- Does your school have an action plan for students with asthma
problems?
- Do you know how to deliver medication?
- Do you know how the mold count affects students and when to
cancel outdoor activities for children with asthma?
- Can you identify asthma triggers?
- Do you know how to respond to an asthma emergency during extracurricular
activities?

Free peak flow meters and spacers will be given to everyone who
completes the evaluation at the end of the program and there will
be a drawing for four free nebulizers. The program is approved for
2.4 contact hours.
