Gordon Docking, CEO, St. Mary's Hospital of Blue Springs
recently advanced to Fellow status in the American College of Healthcare
Executives (ACHE).
Docking was recognized during the ACHE's annual Congress on Healthcare
Management held in Chicago in early March. Only 3000 healthcare
executives nationwide hold the distinction.
To obtain Fellow status, candidates must demonstrate their education,
experience and leadership in the healthcare field for several years.
They must also complete case studies or a thesis on a healthcare
management topic or participate in a year-long mentorship project.
"It is a privilege to use the "FACHE" designation,"
says Docking. "And I'm proud of what it represents. It is a
reflection certainly not just on me, but on everyone associated
with St. Mary's Hospital. We continue to strive to provide the very
best health care to residents of Eastern Jackson County."
