The Carondelet Heart Institute Hospital Hill Run and
Festival, will take place on Saturday, June 5, 2004, Starting at
Crown Center. The challenge and the tradition bring more than 3000
runners and walkers to participate each year in the half marathon
(13.1 miles), 12k race (7.4 miles), or 5k run/walk (3.1 miles).
Live music, the Healthy Lifestyle Expo, Chris Cakes, EnergiZe Running
Obstacle course for the kids and Radio Disney, complete this fun,
family event.
The Hospital Hill Run will donate part of the proceeds
from every entry to provide financial assistance, through the Saint
Joseph Health Foundation, to Carondelet Heart Institute patients
who cannot afford their heart medications.
In addition, the half marathon has been named USA Men's
National Championship for 2004. Elite runners from around the country
will be racing this year. Join us for a walk/run that fits your
fitness level. Many people come to walk/run the 5k to support our
cause-cardiovascular disease.
Start time is at 7 a.m., (wheelchair start time 6:50
a.m) with the Family Fun Run scheduled for 9:30 a.m. at Crown Center
Square. You may sign up the day of the race free of charge for the
Family Fun Run. Chris Cakes will serve a post-race breakfast that
is free to all runners. Breakfast tickets for non-participants can
be purchased.
