As Vice President of Strategic Planning and Business Development, Bliss leads Carondelet Health’s strategy and growth efforts. She oversees marketing, community relations, communications, research and planning, and Well*Life.
She earned several promotions during her more than seven years at Shawnee Mission Medical Center with her last position there as Vice President. Bliss was responsible for strategic planning, marketing, business development and physician relations. Past positions include Vice President of Business Development at Menorah Medical Center, State Director of Marketing at Kansas City Cancer Center, and Marketing Manager at HealthNet, Inc., a managed care company. Early in her career, she worked in communications for the Kansas City, Missouri School District and was the Associate Sports Information Director at the University of Kansas Athletics Corporation.
Bliss has a bachelor's degree in journalism and mass communications, as well as a master's degree in health care administration. She is active in many community and civic organizations in both Kansas and Missouri. Bliss currently serves on the board of directors for Spofford, a leading provider of prevention and therapeutic treatment services with children ages 4-12 suffering the effects of physical and sexual abuse, neglect, and mental health disorders. She formerly served on the boards of the Leawood Chamber of Commerce and the Blue Valley Education Foundation.
Bliss resides in Overland Park, Kan., with her daugher.
