Deb Ohnoutka

Chief Nursing Officer, St. Joseph Medical Center

As Chief Nursing Officer of St. Joseph Medical Center, Deb Ohnoutka provides oversight of nursing initiatives and is committed to cultivating a safe and healing environment for patients and associates.

Ohnoutka spent 12 years at Shawnee Mission Medical Center as the Administrative Director of Women’s and Children’s Services. She has worked at St. Luke’s Northland Hospital as the Director of Maternity Services and as the Maternal/Child Director at Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs, Ia.

Ohnoutka has a master’s degree in health care administration from Central Michigan State University, a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Midland Lutheran College and a registered nurse diploma from the Jennie Edmunson School of Nursing. Ohnoutka has served on SAFEHOME’s board and as president of the Perinatal Association of Kansas.

Ohnoutka lives in Lee’s Summit, Mo., with her husband, Kevin. Her two daughters, Melissa and Rachael, reside in the Kansas City area.
