Included in the medical center services are a 24-hour emergency department, state of the art endoscopy lab, pain center, the Community Center for Health and Education, the medical mall and the Carondelet Heart Institute. The Carondelet Heart Institute (CHI) is a "hospital within a hospital" at St. Joseph Medical Center, focusing on cardiovascular services. It offers state-of-the-art cardiovascular care, which addresses the personal and spiritual needs of each individual.
