Current Needs: Quality Healthcare and Community Service
The foundation is currently seeking funds for projects that include:
- Surgery - The foundation will help fund critical needs for surgery including renovating the surgery waiting room, pre-op and recovery areas and adding new equipment.
- Healthy Beginnings - This program provides counseling and pre/post-natal care for socially at risk pregnant women. Through one-to-one relationships with OB nurses, patients are encouraged to adopt healthy lifestyle choices including good nutrition, cessation of smoking and alcohol, and learning about parenting and child safety.
- Emergency Department 30 Minute Door to Doctor Guarantee: Quality Care at a Moment's Notice - We believe that our patients should not have to wait a long time to get help when they arrive at the Emergency Department. St. Mary's is reconfiguring the ED, reducing lab and radiology times and admitting patients to the hospital more quickly. The foundation is helping fund renovations and equipment to assist in this effort.
- Mission Fund - Contributions to the Mission Fund help St. Mary's patients who have financial needs - those who are uninsured, cannot afford their medications or home health equipment. We are called to provide healthcare that leaves no one behind.
- Continuing Education for Nurses and Other St. Mary's Staff - Donors can honor our dedicated nurses and staff by providing gifts designated for continuing education so they can receive training in the latest medical advances and practices.
